OUR VISION

Our vision is a world where every woman and girl lives in peace, empowered to lead and uplift communities towards a future marked by equality, liberty, and universal human dignity.

OUR MISSION

We advance peace and security for women, their families, and communities through graduate education and training, on-the-ground engagement, expert analysis, and advocacy.

We promote human dignity, individual liberty, and equality of opportunity for all women and girls through our work implementing the U.S. Women Peace and Security Act of 2017 and the UN Security Council’s WPS agenda.

WHO WE ARE

  • We are nonpartisan nonprofit organization of civil society and academic professionals in the fields of national security, international law, development, religious liberty, human rights, and humanitarian action.

  • We partner with U.S. government and non-governmental organizations to implement the U.S. Women Peace and Security Act of 2017 and foster international consensus for the UN Security Council Resolution 1325 framework.

  • We advise policymakers in the United States and abroad through education, advocacy, and engagement on today’s toughest challenges and provide inspired policy analysis on critical issues of women’s human dignity.

  • We are committed to our sisters all over the world, seeking to help them find innovative and collaborative ways to build peace, liberty, and prosperity through their leadership in family, community, and society.

WHAT WE DO

Empowering Through Education

Educating the national security workforce on women’s meaningful participation in conflict prevention, preservation, and peacekeeping through our curriculum development and teaching at the Department of Defense.

Supporting Survivors Across Boundaries

Protecting, supporting and healing survivors of religious persecution and other vulnerabilities by reaching across political, religious, national, and ethnic lines.

Amplifying Voices in Crisis

Amplifying the voices of women and girls in crisis and conflict settings through publications and media.

Advocating for Justice and Healing

Ending impunity for sexual violence and human trafficking and helping mothers and their children born of sexual violence to thrive through advocacy, policy and legislation in the U.S. and at the United Nations.
