We're proud to announce that ACWPS Senior Fellow, Eunice Apio, has been honored with the US Institute of Peace Award. This special recognition was given during her recent visit to Washington, DC, in February 2024, at the American premiere of the film "The Wound is Where the Light Enters."

The US Institute of Peace celebrated Eunice for her outstanding work in peacebuilding. They are enthusiastic about our Community-Based Outreach Workshop (CBOW) initiative, calling it the “missing piece” of peace efforts. Furthermore, they have committed to screening the film and have invited Eunice to join them as an advisor on the Survivor-Centered Approach. We are truly excited about this partnership.
